Welding and Rebar Casting Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily welding, rebar fixing, and general construction activities on site.
• Ensure all welding works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Inspect reinforcement (rebar) installation before concrete casting to ensure correct size, spacing, cover, and placement.
• Monitor concrete casting activities to ensure proper preparation, pouring, compaction, and curing procedures are followed.
• Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet project schedules.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and ensure workers follow safe work procedures and site regulations.
• Enforce compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, surveyors, and quality inspectors to resolve site issues.
• Inspect completed work and rectify defects before requesting consultant or client inspections.
• Maintain daily work progress reports, manpower records, and inspection checklists.
• Monitor material usage and report shortages or wastage to site management.
• Ensure welding equipment, tools, and machinery are properly maintained and safely operated.
• Verify that certified welders perform welding activities according to approved welding procedures.
• Assist in planning work sequences to minimize delays and improve productivity.
• Perform any other site supervision duties assigned by the Project Manager or Site Engineer.

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, reinforcement works, and concrete casting procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and construction drawings.
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of construction quality control and safety regulations.
