Job Summary

You will support the Safety Manager to ensure compliance with statutory safety, health, and environmental standards on the LTA project, driving risk management and safety performance through inspections, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Manager in managing safety, health, environmental, and welfare compliance to meet statutory and aerodrome safety standards
• Execute health, safety, and environmental controls to ensure all project works follow established procedures and instructions
• Coordinate with stakeholders, authorities, agencies, and consultants to facilitate safety compliance and communication
• Prepare and submit daily situation reports to document safety status and issues
• Conduct daily site inspections for health, safety, and environmental compliance, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions with the Project Safety Team and contractors
• Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, document findings accurately on relevant forms, and support follow-up actions
• Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment and adhere strictly to all safety procedures
• Implement and monitor safety measures aligned with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and the project’s Safety Management System
• Identify and report training or certification needs to ensure compliance with legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, and H.S.E. guidance
• Develop and support the execution of risk assessments and safe working procedures on-site

Required competencies and certifications

• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM (stated as mandatory)
• Experience developing a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably including 2 years on LTA projects
