Job Summary

Support the Safety Manager to ensure compliance with statutory safety, health, and environmental standards on Jurong Island projects, conducting inspections, investigations, and coordinating with stakeholders to uphold workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Manager in managing safety, health, environmental, and welfare matters to ensure project compliance with statutory obligations and aerodrome safety standards
• Oversee health, safety, and environmental controls to ensure all work follows established procedures and instructions
• Coordinate with stakeholders, authorities, agencies, and consultants to facilitate safety compliance and communication
• Prepare and submit daily situation reports on safety and health conditions
• Execute and verify risk assessments and safe working procedures on-site to mitigate hazards
• Conduct daily health, safety, and environmental inspections, document findings, and coordinate with Project Safety Team and contractors to close out issues
• Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, document findings accurately on relevant forms
• Consistently wear appropriate personal protective equipment and adhere to all safety procedures
• Implement and monitor safety measures aligned with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and the Safety Management System
• Identify and recommend necessary training or certification to meet legislative standards, Approved Codes of Practice, or H.S.E. guidance

Required competencies and certifications

• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM (mandatory)
• Experience developing a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably 2 years with a developer or main contractor
