Job Summary

You will coordinate workplace safety and health activities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company standards to promote a safe working environment in construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Execute workplace safety and health duties in compliance with the WSH Act to ensure legal adherence on site
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management system
• Conduct daily inspections of machinery, equipment, plants, and installations to identify hazards and enforce safety standards
• Act as the Site EHS Assessor to verify hazardous work activities and ensure proper controls are in place
• Deliver EHS induction courses to new employees and contractors to promote safety awareness and compliance
• Communicate Risk Assessments and Safe Work Procedures clearly to workers and subcontractors to mitigate risks
• Identify workplace safety hazards and implement effective control measures to prevent incidents
• Prepare and submit monthly WSH reports, Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, and Permit to Work documents as required by the Main Contractor
• Monitor and maintain accurate EHS records and checklists to support compliance and audit readiness
• Participate in and facilitate internal and external safety audits to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement
• Investigate and report all workplace safety incidents and near misses to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
• Conduct workplace safety and related training sessions to enhance workforce competency
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager and Management to support workplace safety objectives

Required competencies and certifications

• WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health with a valid Refresher Certificate
• Work at Heights (WAH) Assessor Certificate
• Risk Management Course

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player
