Air Cargo Officer

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Air Freight Executive to support our air freight operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating import and export shipments, liaising with airlines, logistics providers, and customers, ensuring customs compliance, and delivering excellent customer service while maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with airlines, customers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to coordinate air freight shipments.
• Arrange, book, monitor, and track shipments to ensure timely uplift and delivery.
• Handle customer enquiries, orders, complaints, and provide appropriate logistics solutions.
• Prepare and process air import and export documentation accurately.
• Process Singapore Customs permit declarations and respond to customs-related queries, including temporary permits, refunds, and compounds.
• Liaise with relevant government agencies for controlled cargo shipments.
• Maintain complete and accurate shipment records and documentation.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing to customers.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Meet operational KPIs and service standards.
• Support warehouse operations, documentation, and customer service functions as assigned.
• Participate in cross-functional job rotation and undertake additional duties assigned by the reporting manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Logistics or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in air freight operations.
• Experience handling Singapore Customs permits and using CargoWise is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
