Assistant Maintenance Engineer (up to $4k) Tuas

Working location: Tuas
Mon - Fri: 7.30am - 4.30pm
Salary range: $3200 - $3500 (+ $450 tpt allowance) + $300 (Competency incentive)
1 year contract role

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage fix asset of manufacturing factory
• Implement and drive effective TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and fulfil Performance System requirement and target
• Perform maintenance, repair and calibration work of electrical systems, equipment, machines, testers, tools, fixtures and facility, including autonomous & preventive maintenance, to ensure they remain functional and up to standard, and maintain the record and report
• Determine the reasons for any malfunctions for containment and preventive actions
• Maintain proper inventory of spare parts and secure the supplies of spare parts
• Document maintenance procedures and work instructions
• Apply analytical tools and software to track and monitor performance with indicators such as OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) and FPY (First Pass Yield), and take necessary action to correct or improve.
• Interface with suppliers for calibration, maintenance schedules and necessary support of NPP (Non-production parts) ordering
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Maintain contingency plan for machine/equipment failures
• Supervise, coach and lead maintenance technician as well as operators
• Engage in continuous improvement projects while supporting digitalization and smart factory initiatives
• Drive all continuous improvement on Maintenance function

Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Automation
• 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance
• Knowledge of electrical systems and general maintenance processes
• Good knowledge of TPM
• Proficient in schematic and electrical diagrams/illustrations
• Adequate knowledge in PLC programming and Automation
• Basic knowledge of IT and OT network
• Applicable knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Effective problem-solving abilities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to deliver and work well with minimal supervision
• Committed to comply with all safety standard and regulations at all times
• Customer orientated and able to work as a team with operators, technician, engineers to deliver result
• Available to support beyond standard working hours including weekends if needed
