Banquet Executive - OHS

Job Summary

The Banquet Executive is responsible for coordinating and supervising banquet events to ensure smooth operations, exceptional guest experiences, and adherence to service standards. The role involves managing event setups, overseeing service teams, and coordinating with internal departments to deliver successful events.

Key Responsibilities

Event Operations

·         Supervise the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events, including weddings, corporate
functions, conferences, and social gatherings.

·         Conduct pre-event briefings with banquet staff.

·         Ensure event requirements are executed according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO).

·         Monitor event progress and address operational issues promptly.

·         And other duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager/Director of Banquet to assist on other outlets duty

Guest Service

·         Ensure excellent service delivery throughout all events.

·         Act as the primary point of contact for clients during events.

·         Handle guest feedback, requests, and complaints professionally.

·         Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.

Team Leadership

·         Supervise banquet service associates and casual staff.

·         Allocate duties and monitor staff performance during events.

·         Provide coaching and on-the-job training to team members.

·         Ensure staff comply with grooming and service standards.

Coordination & Communication

·         Liaise with Sales, Kitchen, Stewarding, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless event
execution.

·         Attend banquet operational meetings and event briefings.

·         Communicate last-minute event changes to relevant departments.

Inventory & Equipment Management

·         Monitor banquet equipment, furniture, and operating supplies.

·         Report maintenance issues and equipment shortages.

·         Ensure proper storage and handling of banquet assets.

Health, Safety & Compliance

·         Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.

·         Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas.

·         Follow hotel policies and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

·         Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.

·         Minimum 2–3 years of experience in banquet, restaurant, or hotel operations.

·         Strong leadership and organizational skills.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

·         Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.

·         Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Hotel Experience

·         Experience handling weddings, MICE events, gala dinners, and VIP functions.

·         Familiarity with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), function sheets, and event coordination processes. Knowledge
of hotel PMS and banquet management systems.
