Job Description - BREAD BAKER

  • Prepare and bake various types of bread, buns, pastries and other bakery products.
  • Measure, mix, knead, shape and proof dough according to recipes.
  • Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens and dough-processing machines.
  • Monitor baking time and temperature to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Check the freshness, taste, appearance and quality of finished products.
  • Prepare ingredients and maintain sufficient stock for daily production.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bakery work area and equipment.
  • Follow food safety, workplace safety and company procedures.
  • Minimise ingredient wastage and assist with inventory control.
  • Perform other bakery-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant bread-baking or bakery production experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation, proofing and baking techniques.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long working hours.
  • Willing to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Responsible, hardworking and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
