Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a strategic and well-connected Business Development Senior Manager / Director to grow our salon and wellness brand. You will focus heavily on expanding our market share within the South Asian demographic in Singapore, launching specialized cultural beauty concepts, and securing partnerships for key festive seasons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Expansion: Grow the salon's business by targeting and capturing the Indian and Tamil-speaking consumer segments in Singapore.

  • Cultural Partnerships: Partner with South Asian lifestyle brands, corporate groups, and local community networks to launch targeted corporate wellness programs.

  • Festive Campaigns: Plan and execute commercial strategies tailored to major cultural events and festive seasons (such as Deepavali and Pongal) to drive peak salon revenue.

  • Sourcing & Collaboration: Work with international suppliers to source authentic Indian hair, bridal, and wellness products tailored for our target demographic.

  • Location Scouting: Find and evaluate new salon locations or pop-up spaces in areas with high traffic from our target consumer base.

  • Team Leadership: Guide and manage a small team of sales and marketing executives to meet monthly revenue targets.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Retail, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 6–8 years of experience in retail, salon, hospitality, or wellness business development, with a strong background in ethnic or niche consumer markets.

  • Market Knowledge: Deep, specialized understanding of Indian and Tamil cultural beauty traditions, consumer trends, and bridal styling preferences.

  • Language & Communication: Due to the targeted nature of the role and frequent interaction with Tamil-speaking corporate partners, community stakeholders, and specific international suppliers, proficiency in Tamil is highly advantageous.

  • Skills: Strong skills in sales negotiation, building relationships, and basic budget management.
