Miss Muffet Cake Boutique is entering an exciting new chapter with the opening of our new Queen's Road studio.
We're looking for a Production Baker who enjoys baking, loves being organised and takes genuine pride in doing things well. If you're someone who notices the little details, likes keeping everything running smoothly and enjoys being part of a small team where everyone pitches in, we'd love to meet you.
This role is perfect for someone who wants to grow with a business rather than simply work in one.
Bake sponge cakes, brownies, loaf cakes, cake pops and other retail products.
Prepare buttercream, ganache, fillings and sugar syrup.
Fill, stack and ganache cakes ready for decorating.
Follow recipes and production schedules accurately.
Maintain consistently high standards of quality.
Organise daily and weekly production.
Keep ingredient stock, freezers and storage areas organised.
Label and rotate stock (FIFO).
Monitor ingredient levels and prepare stock orders.
Receive deliveries and maintain excellent food safety standards.
Help train casual team members as the business grows.
Prepare and replenish our retail display.
Welcome customers into the studio.
Assist with cake collections.
Package products beautifully.
Help create a warm, welcoming environment for every customer.
We're much more interested in who you are than exactly where you've worked.
You don't need to know all of our recipes or systems—we'll teach you those.
What we're looking for is someone who:
Is reliable and turns up when they say they will.
Takes pride in producing consistently excellent work.
Is organised and enjoys keeping things running smoothly.
Notices what needs doing without waiting to be asked.
Learns quickly and enjoys improving processes.
Is happy to help wherever needed, from baking and serving customers to washing up and restocking shelves.
Enjoys working in a supportive team where everyone contributes.
Commercial bakery experience is an advantage, but we're happy to train someone with the right attitude and a genuine desire to learn.

Approximately 30–40 hours per week, depending on experience and business needs.
Regular Saturday work is required.
As our retail business grows, occasional Sunday shifts may also be introduced.
