Cat Cafe Manager

We are looking for a passionate, responsible, and hands-on Cat Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of Cattraction. The ideal candidate is customer-oriented, enjoys working with cats, leads by example, and ensures the café maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, animal welfare, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cat café.
• Ensure the café opens and closes according to operating procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards throughout the premises.
• Ensure all equipment and facilities are well maintained.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment.

Customer Service

• Welcome and assist customers professionally.
• Explain café rules, safety guidelines, and cat interaction etiquette.
• Handle customer enquiries, bookings, and feedback.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Ensure every customer enjoys a positive and memorable experience.

Cat Welfare

• Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all resident cats.
• Monitor cats daily for signs of illness, injury, or unusual behaviour.
• Supervise feeding according to scheduled meal times.
• Ensure litter boxes are cleaned regularly.
• Maintain a clean and enriching environment for the cats.
• Administer basic medications or supplements as instructed.
• Arrange veterinary appointments when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of each cat's health and behaviour.

Reservations & Events

• Manage online and walk-in reservations.
• Coordinate birthday parties, private events, workshops, and special programmes.
• Ensure events run smoothly from setup to completion.

Sales & Business Performance

• Achieve monthly sales and operational targets.
• Promote café memberships, merchandise, beverages, and retail products.
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare daily sales reports and operational summaries.

Cash Handling

• Manage cashier operations and daily closing.
• Ensure accurate cash reconciliation.
• Handle refunds and payment disputes according to company policy.

Marketing Support

• Assist in creating engaging social media content.
• Encourage customer reviews and user-generated content.
• Support promotional campaigns and seasonal events.

Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all company SOPs.
• Maintain food hygiene and workplace safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with AVS regulations relating to animal welfare.
• Maintain proper documentation and operational records.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality, retail, café, pet care, or customer service preferred
• Genuine love for cats and commitment to animal welfare.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Responsible, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working weekends and public holidays.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, POS systems, booking platforms).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a pet café, pet hotel, veterinary clinic, or animal-related business.
• Food hygiene certification is an advantage.
• Pet First Aid knowledge is an advantage.

Working Hours

• 6-day work week.
• Able to work from 11am to 8.30pm, weekends, and public holidays.
• Flexible to support special events when required.
