Curtain Technician

Job Description & Requirements

We are looking to hire a Curtain Technician. He/She is responsible for measuring, fitting, and installing various types of window treatments, including curtains, grills, drapes, blinds, and shades. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills, as the installer will often work directly in clients' homes or businesses. The installer will ensure that window treatments are hung securely, level, and aligned according to the client's specifications and aesthetic preferences. Additionally, the role may involve advising clients on the best types of curtains or hardware for their space, taking accurate measurements, and ensuring a clean and professional installation.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately measure windows and spaces to ensure proper fit for curtains and hardware.

Install curtain rods, tracks, and other hardware securely and level.

Hang curtains, drapes, blinds, or shades neatly and according to client preferences.

Provide recommendations on curtain styles, fabrics, and hardware based on client needs and room functionality.

Ensure all installations are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace during and after installation.

Communicate professionally with clients to address questions or concerns.

Travel to client locations with necessary tools and equipment.

Requirements:

Previous experience in curtain installation, carpentry, or a related field is preferred.

Proficiency with hand and power tools (e.g., drills, levels, measuring tapes).

Strong attention to detail and ability to work precisely.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Physical ability to lift and carry heavy curtains, hardware, and tools.

Reliable transportation to travel to job sites.

Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
