Delivery Driver

Job Summary

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery and collection of food, equipment, and catering items to customers and event venues. The role ensures that all deliveries are completed in accordance with company service standards while maintaining food quality, food safety, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Operations

• Deliver buffet setups, mini buffets, bento meals, institutional meals, and catering equipment according to the assigned schedule.
• Ensure all food items are delivered on time and in good condition.
• Load and unload food, beverages, equipment, tables, and serving ware safely.
• Verify delivery orders against invoices or delivery notes before departure and upon delivery.
• Obtain customer acknowledgement or proof of delivery where required.
• Collect used equipment and catering items after events according to the collection schedule.

Vehicle Management

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after each shift.
• Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic offences, or maintenance issues immediately.
• Refuel the vehicle as required and maintain fuel records where applicable.
• Ensure vehicle documents and licences are valid at all times.

Food Safety & Handling

• Handle food carefully to maintain quality, hygiene, and temperature requirements.
• Ensure insulated food carriers and transport containers are secured during transportation.
• Follow company food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of delivery equipment and transport containers.

Customer Service

• Deliver orders professionally and courteously.
• Assist customers with delivery-related enquiries where appropriate.
• Escalate customer feedback, complaints, or delivery issues promptly to the Operations team.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively.

Operational Support

• Assist with buffet setup and dismantling when required.
• Help the kitchen or logistics team prepare orders for dispatch during peak periods.
• Support stock movement between the central kitchen, outlets, and storage locations.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the loading area and delivery equipment.

Compliance& Safety

• Comply with all traffic regulations and company driving policies.
• Drive responsibly to ensure the safety of passengers, pedestrians, company property, and food items.
• Follow Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements during loading, unloading, and deliveries.
• Wear the required company uniform and PPE when necessary.

Other Duties

• Perform any other operational duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
• Be available to work overtime, weekends, public holidays, or split shifts when operationally required.

Job Requirements

• Valid Singapore Class 3 or Class 3A Driving Licence (or Class 4 if required for larger vehicles).
• Good driving record with a strong commitment to road safety.
• Preferably 1–2 years of delivery driving experience, ideally within the catering, logistics, or food and beverage industry.
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry catering equipment and food containers.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, reliable, and customer service oriented.
