Dental Surgery Assistant (Full Time)

Job Summary

Join Maple Dental @ Kovan as a Dental Surgery Assistant, supporting dentists with patient care, managing instruments, handling front desk tasks, and maintaining clinic operations in a fast-paced dental healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists by preparing and providing appropriate instruments and materials for dental procedures to ensure smooth treatment flow
• Monitor and support patient comfort throughout dental treatments to enhance patient experience
• Clean and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain hygiene and safety standards
• Conduct regular stock checks and manage inventory to ensure adequate dental supplies are available
• Perform front desk duties including greeting patients courteously and professionally
• Manage patient appointments, respond to walk-in and phone inquiries, register patients, process billing, and collect payments accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping of the clinic to provide a safe and welcoming environment
• Communicate effectively with team members to support a collaborative and efficient workplace
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment by multitasking and prioritizing duties efficiently

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends to support clinic operations
• Computer literacy to manage appointment systems and billing processes
• Strong teamwork skills with good communication and interpersonal abilities
