Hairstylist

Job Summary

The Hairstylist is responsible for providing professional hair care services to clients, including haircuts, styling, coloring, treatments, and consultations. The role requires excellent technical skills, strong customer service abilities, and a commitment to maintaining salon standards while ensuring client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Client Consultation

• Welcome and consult with clients to understand their hair care needs and desired styles.
• Assess hair condition and recommend suitable hairstyles, treatments, and products.
• Provide professional advice on hair maintenance and aftercare.

Hair Services

• Perform haircuts, trims, and styling services for men, women, and children.
• Provide hair coloring, highlighting, bleaching, toning, and color correction services.
• Conduct hair treatments such as conditioning, scalp treatments, keratin treatments, and other salon services.
• Shampoo, condition, and blow-dry clients' hair as required.
• Ensure all services are performed according to salon standards and safety guidelines.

Customer Service

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
• Address client concerns professionally and resolve service-related issues.
• Encourage repeat business through excellent service and customer engagement.

Product Sales

• Recommend and promote retail hair care products suitable for clients' needs.
• Support salon sales targets through product knowledge and customer education.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Certificate, diploma, or professional training in Hairdressing, Cosmetology, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a hairstylist is preferred.
• Familiarity with current hair trends, products, and treatments.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Working Conditions

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and shift schedules as required.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced salon environment.
