The Head (Community Engagement) oversees the outreach wing of the SPCA. The appointed candidate oversees a team that manages SPCA Singapore’s communications, merchandising, volunteer engagement, fundraising, digital engagement, education, and advocacy efforts. You will lead a department comprising of five managers, comprising of two communications managers, one fundraising manager, one education manager and a volunteer/merchandise manager.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working closely with the Executive Director to develop effective communication and outreach strategies.
- Developing and providing recommendations on the overall Community Engagement budget in consultation with the Executive Director.
- Monitoring the budget utilisation for all community engagement efforts and ensuring prudence.
- Conducting research and identifying new trends, opportunities, and pertinent animal welfare issues to develop strong campaigns.
- Strengthening SPCA’s fundraising and volunteering capabilities.
- Conceptualising new and innovative programs to improve SPCA’s engagement with public.
- Overseeing the Community Engagement team and managing their performance and KPIs.
- Working closely with the Community Engagement and Fundraising sub-committees to strengthen SPCA’s community engagement strategy and new initiatives.
- Engaging new partnerships, volunteers, and stakeholders to garner support for SPCA’s work proactively.
Others
Providing support for ad-hoc events and SPCA-led projects.
Qualifications and Requirements
· Education: Degree in related field
· Experience: Minimum 3 years in a similar position
· Strong leadership skills
· Able to work independently and in teams, meticulous and detail oriented.
· Strong customer service orientation.
· Excellent written and spoken English
· Passion for animal welfare
