Job Description - Hotel Front Office Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Front Office Manager to lead our guest services team in a luxury boutique hotel. This role ensures every guest enjoys a seamless, personalized, and memorable stay by overseeing front office and housekeeping functions with high service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily front office operations including guest check-in, check-out, concierge, and reservations to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Deliver personalized attention and tailored services to VIP guests and repeat visitors to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Manage guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and discreetly to maintain positive guest relations
  • Monitor occupancy rates and room allocations, coordinating with reservations to optimize room utilization
  • Oversee housekeeping operations to maintain luxury standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms and public areas
  • Coordinate daily room assignments, inspections, and turnaround schedules to ensure timely room readiness
  • Manage housekeeping inventory including linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies to support operational efficiency
  • Facilitate timely communication between front office and housekeeping teams to address room readiness and special guest requests
  • Enforce hygiene, safety, and brand standards across all guest areas to uphold hotel reputation
  • Lead, train, and mentor front office and housekeeping staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service and foster a guest-focused culture
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training programs to develop team capabilities
  • Monitor budgets, cash handling, and financial reporting for front office operations to ensure fiscal responsibility
  • Assist in managing housekeeping costs including labor, supplies, and outsourcing to optimize expenses
  • Generate and analyze reports on occupancy, guest satisfaction, and housekeeping performance metrics to support operational improvements
  • Contribute to guest service initiatives, loyalty programs, and operational enhancements to drive service excellence
  • Support the General Manager in achieving service and financial goals through effective collaboration
  • Collaborate with Food & Beverage, Sales, and Maintenance departments to ensure smooth hotel operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hospitality experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems such as Opera, Fidelio, or similar
  • Experience managing both front office and housekeeping teams is highly preferred
  • Passion for luxury hospitality and guest satisfaction
