Job Description - Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary

Reporting to the Back of House Manager, you will lead and coordinate housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and common areas meet high standards of cleanliness and readiness. You will drive operational efficiency by monitoring the PMS system, organizing daily workflows, and managing vendor relationships to support maximum occupancy without delays.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the Property Management System (PMS) continuously to organize and optimize daily and weekly housekeeping operations using the housekeeping tool
  • Lead daily briefings and operational meetings to train outsourced staff and assign tasks, ensuring compliance with property standards
  • Inspect guest rooms for arrivals, verify and update room status, and resolve discrepancies to maintain room readiness
  • Organize team schedules and prepare daily housekeeping reports to track performance and operational progress
  • Serve as the primary liaison with laundry, cleaning, and pest control vendors to ensure timely service delivery and adherence to standards
  • Lead the room attendant team by example, fostering teamwork and engagement to reduce staff turnover
  • Report vendor compliance issues promptly to the vendor lead to maintain quality and punctuality in room cleaning
  • Coordinate shift coverage and adapt flexibly to meet day-to-day housekeeping operational needs
  • Manage inventory control by checking, tracking, and ordering cleaning and guest supplies in collaboration with the Back of House Manager
  • Support monthly linen and supply inventories to maintain adequate stock levels and operational readiness

Required competencies and certifications

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant housekeeping or operational experience

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and proactivity in managing housekeeping tasks and team coordination
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate internally with team members and vendors, and externally with guests
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn, with flexibility to adapt across various job responsibilities
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain structured housekeeping inventory management


·     5days work week (Monday to Sunday)

·     Shift1: 7.30am to 4.30pm

·     Shift2: 11am - 8pm

·     1hour lunch break

·     Consecutivetwo off day
