️ Junior Kitchen & Service Crew River Valley 5-Day Week Up to $2,200

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting and slicing.
• Assist with basic food preparation according to established quality and hygiene standards.
• Support customer service and front-of-house duties when required.
• Pack takeaway orders accurately and promptly.
• Wash and dry dishes, utensils, cooking equipment and cutting boards.
• Return cleaned utensils and equipment to their designated storage areas.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen and service areas.
• Remove rubbish, replace bin liners and clean rubbish bins.
• Store ingredients and food items according to food-safety requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant.
• Use kitchen equipment and utensils safely and correctly.
• Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the Head Chef.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in a kitchen, restaurant or food-preparation environment is preferred.
• Candidates without extensive experience may be considered if they demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Able to understand workplace instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
• Comfortable performing a combination of food preparation, customer service, cleaning and dishwashing duties.
• Knowledge of basic food hygiene and workplace safety practices is an advantage.
• Responsible, punctual and able to work independently.
• Able to collaborate effectively within a small restaurant team.
• Able to perform the physical duties of the role safely, including standing for extended periods and handling kitchen supplies.
