Job Description - Kitchen Chef

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to company recipes and standards.
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control.
  • Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene in compliance with regulations.
  • Plan food preparation schedules and ensure timely service.
  • Manage inventory, stock ordering, and minimize food waste.
  • Train new kitchen staff and promote teamwork.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is used and maintained properly.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Chef or Senior Chef.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
  • Leadership and team supervision skills.
  • Good understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Culinary certification is an advantage.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
