Job Description - Kitchen Cook

  • Prepare and cook food according to the restaurant's recipes, quality standards, and SOPs.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner while maintaining consistency in quality and presentation.
  • Assist with food preparation, including cutting, marinating, portioning, and other mise en place duties.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and stock rotation (FIFO) of all food ingredients to minimise wastage.
  • Monitor inventory levels and inform the Head Chef or Outlet Manager when stock replenishment is required.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness.
  • Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Head Chef or Outlet Manager.
