LOGISTICS DRIVER

1. Delivery and Collection

• Deliver goods to customers, branches, or warehouses as per assigned routes
• Collect items, documents, or returns when required
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery in line with schedules

2. Vehicle Operation

• Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly
• Follow all traffic rules and regulations
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of goods to prevent damage

3. Documentation Handling

• Verify delivery orders, invoices, and delivery notes before dispatch
• Obtain customer signatures and proof of delivery (POD)
• Maintain accurate delivery records and submit documents on time

4. Route Planning and Efficiency

• Plan routes to optimize delivery time and fuel efficiency
• Use GPS or navigation tools when necessary
• Report delays, traffic issues, or route challenges promptly

5. Vehicle Maintenance

• Perform daily vehicle checks (fuel, oil, tires, brakes, cleanliness)
• Report any mechanical issues or damages immediately
• Ensure vehicle is serviced as per maintenance schedule

6. Safety and Compliance

• Follow company SOPs and safety guidelines
• Adhere to transportation and road safety regulations
• Ensure safe handling of goods, especially fragile or sensitive items

7. Customer Service

• Maintain professional and courteous behavior with customers
• Address basic customer queries during delivery
• Represent the company in a positive manner

8. Security and Accountability

• Safeguard goods during transit
• Report any loss, damage, or discrepancies immediately
• Ensure proper handover of goods to authorized personnel only

9. General Duties

• Assist in loading/unloading when required
• Support warehouse or logistics team when not on delivery
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
