Job Title: Delivery Driver

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of commodities, including onions, potatoes, gingers, and other products, from our warehouse to various destinations.

Responsibilities:

1. Safe and Efficient Driving: Operate company vehicles, such as trucks or vans, in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to traffic rules and regulations. Ensure the secure transportation of commodities to their designated locations.
2. Loading and Unloading: Assist in the loading and unloading of commodities from containers and delivery trucks. Physical strength and the ability to handle heavy loads are essential for this aspect of the role.
3. Delivery Schedule Management: Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, considering factors like traffic conditions and delivery deadlines. Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers.
4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of goods delivered, received, and any incidents that may occur during transportation. Complete necessary paperwork and ensure all relevant documentation is properly organized.
5. Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine checks on company vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions promptly and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.
6. Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and clients during the delivery process, providing friendly and courteous service. Address any inquiries or concerns they may have and represent the company in a positive manner.
7. Multi-Tasking: As a Wholesale Commodity Driver, you will be expected to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Besides driving and delivery responsibilities, you may also assist with warehouse duties as needed.
8. Adherence to Safety Standards: Comply with all safety protocols and guidelines during loading, unloading, and transportation. Take necessary precautions to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of yourself and others.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in wholesale commodity transportation or a related field.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy loads during loading and unloading.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage delivery schedules effectively.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle various tasks and changing work environments.
• Understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to driving and logistics.
