We are looking for a Managing Director who is able to interpret business needs and client briefs and turn them into compelling creative solutions. Often working under tight deadlines while overseeing multiple branches. The Managing Director must be an effective communicator, especially when it comes to relaying creative concept to design teams and clients.
Tasks and Duties / Job Scope
- Setting long-term goals for growth, expansion (e.g., opening new branches) and brand positioning.
- Managing the salon's profit and loss statements, setting pricing strategies and overseeing budgets for marketing and operations.
- Directing advertising campaigns, loyalty programs and social media presence to increase client acquisition and retention.
- Define and drive the salon's seasonal hair trends, aesthetic director, and creative campaigns
- Perform advanced, complex hair services (precision cutting, color corrections, balayage, etc.) for high-value VIP clients.
- Stay ahead of global beauty and fashion trends, introducing new techniques and product innovations to the salon.
- Collaborate with management to produce high-quality hair portfolios for digital and social media platforms.
- Design and lead on-the-job training programs and workshops for Junior and Senior Stylists.
- Ensure consistent technical excellence and customer service standards across all staff members.
- Set clear KPIs for the stylist team, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Oversee daily salon workflows, manage inventory of professional products, and ensure strict compliance with Hygiene and Safety standards.
- Work closely with upper management to drive salon profitability, optimize booking efficiency, and achieve corporate goals.
- Recruiting, hiring and mentoring top-tier stylists, beauticians and front desk staff.
- Conducting performance reviews, tracking sales commissions and setting sales target for the team.
- Organizing ongoing education and training programs to keep the team updated on the latest industry and style trends.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 - 15 years of professional experience in high-end, luxury styling, with a proven track record in a lead or managerial role.
- Expert-level proficiency across all facets of hairdressing, backed by recognized international diplomas or certifications.
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict-management, and motivational skills to lead a diverse team of creatives.
- Good knowledge of strategic and corporate planning, and the setting of corporate KPIs
- Excellent qualitative, quantitative and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to express complex issues simply and logically
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting, including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications
- Extensive supervisory experience (including leadership, team-building and delegation) leading and managing a creative team
