Job Description - Marine Electrical & Electronics Service Technician

We are hiring a hands-on Marine Electrical & Electronics Service Technician for a stable full-time role.

This role is mainly for electrical and electronics service work on boats, yachts, vessels, and marine equipment.

You will support servicing, troubleshooting, repair, installation, testing, and basic commissioning work. The work is practical and hands-on. You should enjoy using tools, checking faults, solving problems, and getting equipment working again.

Why This Role May Suit You

• 5-day work week
• Generally Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
• Overtime pay when required
• Overtime is not expected to be frequent
• Monthly salary of SGD 2,800 to SGD 3,500
• 13th month bonus, subject to company performance
• Stable hands-on technical role in the marine equipment sector
• Training can be provided for the mechanical side of the work
• Suitable for someone who already has some hands-on technical experience and wants to build deeper service and troubleshooting skills

About the Work

Most of the work is electrical and electronics. There will also be some mechanical work involved.

You do not need to be perfect in every area. If you have a good electrical or electronics base, are willing to learn, and can take guidance, the team can train you on the parts you are less familiar with.

This is a field service role, so some work will be done on-site at marinas, boats, yachts, vessels, workshops, or customer locations.

Some jobs may involve outdoor marina conditions, engine-room areas, or tighter working spaces. You do not need to be from the marine industry, but you should be comfortable with practical on-site work.

More customers are choosing to service and repair existing equipment instead of replacing it. Because of that, we are looking for a technician who can support repair, troubleshooting, and service work properly on the ground.

What You Will Be Doing

• Carry out servicing, troubleshooting, repair, and installation work on marine electrical and electronic systems
• Test equipment, check faults, and carry out basic rectification work
• Replace faulty parts and help restore equipment to working condition
• Support setup, testing, and commissioning work when needed
• Support some mechanical work as part of the job
• Attend on-site service jobs at marinas, boats, yachts, vessels, workshops, or customer locations
• Use tools and test equipment properly during service work
• Prepare simple service notes or job updates after work is done
• Take care of tools, parts, and work area properly
• Work with the team to complete jobs safely and on time

What We Are Looking For

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in electrical, electronics, servicing, repair, maintenance, or troubleshooting work
• Experience working directly on equipment will be useful
• Marine experience is an advantage, but not compulsory
• Candidates from field service, equipment servicing, electrical, electronics, mechanical, or maintenance backgrounds may be considered
• Able to use tools and handle practical technical work
• Able to check faults and support repair work on existing equipment
• Comfortable doing on-site service work when required
• Comfortable working in marine, vessel, industrial, workshop, or field-service environments
• Willing to learn and open to guidance
• Humble, steady, and able to work well with the team
• Able to take direction and handle feedback professionally
• Responsible, practical, and willing to get the job done properly
• For some on-site service jobs, communication with Mandarin-speaking customers or crew may be needed when explaining basic technical issues or coordinating work

This Role Is Best Suited For Candidates Who

• Enjoy hands-on technical work
• Like fixing equipment and solving practical problems
• Have some electrical or electronics background
• Are willing to work on-site when required
• Prefer stable full-time work with generally regular working hours
• Are willing to learn and grow into the marine equipment service environment

Important Note

This is a hands-on service role. It is not mainly drafting, design, documentation, coordination, or office support work.
