Job Responsibilities
Oversee and manage daily ocean freight import and export operations.
Process shipment orders, invoices, delivery notes, and maintain accurate operational records.
Coordinate with overseas offices, customers, carriers, and vendors to ensure smooth shipment execution.
Monitor shipment status and resolve operational issues proactively to minimize delays and demurrage exposure.
Ensure timely customs clearance, permit declarations, and cargo delivery.
Accrue operational costs and verify vendor invoices accurately.
Lead and support the operations team to achieve service excellence and operational efficiency.
Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with Company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Handle general import/export administrative duties and any other tasks assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Maritime Business Management, Air & Sea Freight Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in ocean freight forwarding operations, with solid exposure to both import and export operations.
Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, documentation, customs requirements, and carrier operations.
Ability to manage daily operations effectively, resolve operational issues, and support customer requirements in a timely manner.
Supervisory or team leadership experience will be an advantage.
Strong communication and coordination skills inworking with customers, carriers, overseas offices, and internal departments.
Team player with a proactive “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Salary package and position offered will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skill set.
