Job Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily ocean freight import and export operations.
• Process shipment orders, invoices, delivery notes, and maintain accurate operational records.
• Coordinate with overseas offices, customers, carriers, and vendors to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve operational issues proactively to minimize delays and demurrage exposure.
• Ensure timely customs clearance, permit declarations, and cargo delivery.
• Accrue operational costs and verify vendor invoices accurately.
• Lead and support the operations team to achieve service excellence and operational efficiency.
• Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with Company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Handle general import/export administrative duties and any other tasks assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Maritime Business Management, Air & Sea Freight Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in ocean freight forwarding operations, with solid exposure to both import and export operations.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, documentation, customs requirements, and carrier operations.
• Ability to manage daily operations effectively, resolve operational issues, and support customer requirements in a timely manner.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience will be an advantage.
• Strong communication and coordination skills inworking with customers, carriers, overseas offices, and internal departments.
• Team player with a proactive “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Salary package and position offered will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skill set.
