About the Role 

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Operations Manager – Court Experience, Sports & Food & Beverage to take full ownership of service delivery across both our sports courts and F&B operations. 

This is a key leadership role that bridges two core departments of the member experience. You will be responsible not only for delivering and overseeing exceptional service, but also for actively contributing to revenue generation through F&B sales, upselling, and enhancing overall member engagement. 

You will operate with a strong sense of ownership across the facility — ensuring standards are maintained, issues are identified and acted upon proactively (including maintenance and operational improvements), and that all guest-facing areas consistently reflect a premium club experience. 

You will sometimes run the floor independently, and at other times lead and coordinate a team to ensure smooth execution, high service standards, and strong commercial performance. 

This role has a dual reporting line to the F&B Director and Sports Director. 

Key Responsibilities 

Shift Leadership & Floor Ownership 

  • Take full ownership of daily operations across Court Experience and F&B during shifts  

  • Act as the senior on-floor leader and primary point of contact when on duty  

  • Allocate and coordinate tasks across team members to ensure seamless service flow  

  • Step into frontline service when required, leading by example. This may include working alone at times, whilst the full service requirements are being assessed and adapted.  

  • Ensure all service areas are operational, well-presented, and guest-ready at all times  

Team Leadership & Development 

  • Supervise Court Experience Ambassadors and F&B team members during shifts  

  • Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and guidance on service delivery  

  • Train and onboard new team members to maintain consistent service standards  

  • Foster a proactive, high-energy, and service-driven team culture  

  • Support continuous improvement in performance and execution  

Member Experience & Service Excellence 

  • Ensure consistently high-quality and personalised member interactions  

  • Maintain a visible, engaged presence across courts and F&B areas  

  • Anticipate member needs and resolve issues proactively and professionally  

  • Uphold premium service standards across all touchpoints  

  • Ensure cleanliness, presentation, and readiness of all guest-facing areas  

Food & Beverage Operations & Revenue Growth 

  • Support the preparation of the outlet’s annual marketing plan, aligned with the overall 

F&B marketing strategy. 

  • Develop and conduct training for new and existing staff members, ensuring they are familiar with service standards and safety regulations. 

  • Oversee daily venue operations, including opening and closing, service flow, and coordination between kitchen, bar and front-of-house teams. 

  • Provide outlet updates and promotional ideas during monthly marketing meetings to help drive footfall and revenue. 

  • Review new menu or product launches and ensure operational accuracy in related marketing and member communications. 

  • Work closely with the chef and bar team to keep menu offerings fresh, seasonal and aligned with guest preferences. 

  • Maintain high standards for drinks, cocktails, beverage quality and presentation. 

  • Drive F&B sales through upselling, promotions, pre-orders, post-match consumption and member engagement. 

  • Manage F&B operations for special events and corporate privatisations at the venue. 

  • Ensure smooth and timely coordination between floor, kitchen and bar teams. 

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels for food, beverages and bar supplies. 

Court Operations & Facility Ownership 

  • Ensure smooth transitions between court bookings and activities  

  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of courtside areas  

  • Support social play, leagues, tournaments, and events  

  • Identify operational issues (including maintenance needs) and proactively initiate resolution processes  

  • Escalate and follow through on facility improvements where required  

  • Coordinate with coaching, operations, and events teams during peak periods  

Standards, Accountability & Execution 

  • Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard  

  • Take full ownership of shift outcomes, including service quality and guest experience  

  • Maintain strong discipline, structure, and pace on the floor  

  • Identify problems early and take proactive action to resolve them  

  • Drive a culture of accountability and pride in execution  

Who We’re Looking For 

We are looking for someone who is: 

  • Confident taking ownership in a fast-paced, floor-based environment  

  • Naturally proactive, responsible, and solutions-oriented  

  • Strong in leadership and able to influence team behaviour positively  

  • Comfortable balancing hands-on service with oversight responsibilities  

  • Commercially aware, with a mindset for driving sales and engagement  

  • Calm, structured, and reliable under pressure  

  • Highly attentive to detail and member experience  

Experience & Background 

  • Experience in hospitality, F&B, sports clubs, events, or premium customer service  

  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience preferred  

  • Strong understanding of operational floor management  

  • Experience in upselling or driving revenue is an advantage  

  • Passion for sports, fitness, or club environments is highly valued
