Job Description - Pharmacy Retail Assistant

  • Assist Retail Supervisor to achieve sales targets for our retail pharmacy
  • Provide good customer service and respond to customers’ queries and feedback in a timely manner
  • Promote product offerings and make recommendations that suit customers’ needs
  • Arrange delivery of products for subsidised patients and process subsidies
  • Responsible for the opening and closing of pharmacy
  • Maintain store cleanliness and ensure all in-store merchandise is well displayed and their price tags are up-to-date
  • Operate POS systems for payments, discount, refunds and exchanges
  • Ensure accuracy in handling float, cash and transactions
  • Report any discrepancies in revenue to Pharmacy Manager
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels and ensure that inventory is rotated in FEFO order
  • Monitor expiry date of inventory
  • Generate PO and perform stock receipt in an accurate and efficient way
  • Ensure proper documentation is provided as per SOP, including price change updates and credit notes
  • Handle the sales of rehabilitation equipment working closely with other staff, suppliers and clients
  • Collect payment and order subsidized rehab items / check stock with supplier / arrange delivery
  • Handle email exchanges between suppliers, clients, and staff, and provide information/ quotations
  • Ensure proper documentation is provided as per SOP
  • Generate PO, perform stock receipt accurately and on a timely basis, manage inventory, update catalogue
  • Provide cover for Retail Supervisor when necessary
  • Participate in quality improvement projects that drive towards work efficiency and zero-wastage
  • Participate in hospital related activities e.g. community-based projects
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Min GCE O level
  • WSQ Diploma in Retail (Retail Operations) is preferred
  • Min 1 year of relevant experience in retail setting
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Email
  • Experience in business development or sales will be highly advantageous
  • A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adaptable, proactive, meticulous and able to handle stress and multiple deadlines
