Production Cook

The Production Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and processing food products according to standardized recipes and production schedules while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food products according to approved recipes and production requirements.
• Measure, portion, and process ingredients accurately to ensure product consistency.
• Operate kitchen and food production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow daily production schedules and meet output targets.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and equipment before and after production.
• Monitor ingredient inventory and report stock shortages or quality issues.
• Label, store, and handle raw materials and finished products according to company procedures.
• Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth production operations.
• Follow workplace safety policies and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other production-related duties assigned by the Production Supervisor or Manager.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, central kitchen, or food manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and lift ingredients or products when required.
• Good teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Food Hygiene Certificate or relevant food safety certification is an advantage.
