Aboutthe Role:

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and organized Freight Controller to join our supply chain team, managing the seamless movement of ocean and air freight across four regions. You will be responsible for consolidating and coordinating the flow of goods from the US, UK, Europe, and Australia to and in between ourmarkets in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Australia. This is a regional role based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the supply chain team to maintain and improve optimal ordering programs tominimize freight costs.
• Consolidate and build freight shipments to achieve cost-effective and timely deliverieswithin monthly budgets.
• Maintain and update a comprehensive freight tracking sheet for real-time shipmentvisibility.
• Negotiate rates with freight forwarders to ensure we maintain market competitive pricesand have forward visibility on market conditions, trends and potential issues.
• Act as a liaison between internal departments (management, sales, warehouse teams)to ensure smooth communication and coordinated logistics efforts.
• Track and coordinate with warehouse/sales teams slow moving stock and stock at riskof expiry.
•  Coordinate collections and deliveries from our suppliers to our freight forwarders,ensuring timely arrivals and accurate documentation is in place.
• Maintain a high degree of detail and focus on every job.
• Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities to further improve our freightforwarding strategy.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics coordination.
• Proven experience in negotiating freight rates with carriers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and freight management software is aplus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-pacedenvironment.
• A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
