Job Description - REGIONAL TECHNICAL SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER

  • Manages the team of Technical Sales to ensure that all activities are properly done (no tender failure due to technical questions, best solutions proposed to increase our hit ratio, introduction of new technologies, participation in innovation, push for services)
  • Meets on a regular basis with customers to provide them with technical support, to promote VAM® / Vallourec Products and Services, and analyse their needs.
  • Supports the team in helping to answer to tenders by supporting the clarification of the technical points and proposing the best Vallourec / VAM® solution. He/she acts as the interface between Sales/R&D/mills/corporate.
  • Provides analyses to the Commercial Director regarding the needs to develop/promote new products/services.
  • Ensures those needs are well defined so R&D/industrialization teams have a perfect understanding.
  • Build promotion supports (sales kits, brochures) and animates seminars / webinars /training initiatives.
  • Be the technical focal point for Southeast Asia - relay to headquarter on technical topics
  • Uses Well Design as one of the main promotion tool in the region
  • In charge of Quality management for the region (entry point of all customer claims)
  • Support and develop the local team to promote local talents
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering is a must.
  • 10 years of Experience in the same industry, technical background is a must. Published paper in the same industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge in O&G connections and O&G grades is a must (knowledge of API 5CT, API5CRA). VAM® knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and an aptitude in transversal management in a multicultural environment.
  • Able to work in Autonomy and able to represent Vallourec in front of the customers, regulators and partners.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage a multicultural team.
  • Business Travel outside of Singapore is a must (30% to 40%), travel within Asia (Pakistan, India, Oceania, Indonesia, Japan and etc)
