Job Description - Sales Executive

Job Summary

Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, managing client relationships, and expanding market presence for FMCG products. Deliver sales targets through strategic planning, customer engagement, and effective collaboration with internal teams.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with retailers, wholesalers, distributors, supermarkets, convenience stores, and corporate customers to expand market reach
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue and growth objectives
  • Promote and sell the company’s FMCG product portfolio to both existing and prospective customers
  • Conduct regular customer visits to assess market needs and recommend appropriate product solutions
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and promotional plans to support business development
  • Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and identify new market opportunities

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and business partners to foster long-term partnerships
  • Manage customer accounts to ensure high satisfaction and retention
  • Negotiate pricing, trade promotions, commercial terms, and sales agreements to optimize business outcomes
  • Follow up on enquiries, quotations, and orders to maintain a healthy sales pipeline
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment, delivery, and customer support
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and deliver excellent after-sales service

Market Expansion

  • Collaborate with management to identify and develop new sales channels and business expansion opportunities
  • Establish and strengthen distribution networks and retail partnerships
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, networking events, and industry activities to promote products and brand visibility

Reporting & Performance

  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market updates for management review
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and account performance
  • Consistently achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs contributing to company growth and profitability

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the FMCG industry
  • Experience managing retail, wholesale, or distribution channels is advantageous
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with the ability to work independently
