The Singapore Scout Association is a non-discriminatory youth movement established in 1910 dedicated to the development and enablement of young people in Singapore to become responsible and active citizens. Through the Mission of educating young people on a value system based on the Scout Promise and Scout Law, Scouts help to build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.
Customer Service & Sales: Welcoming visitors (e.g. Scout youths, leaders, parents, teachers etc.), advising on uniforms/gear, and processing cash transactions smoothly.
Order Fulfillment: Handling unit/school orders via email or WhatsApp and coordinating pickups and deliveries.
Stock & Inventory: Unpacking stock, keeping shelves neatly organized, and assisting with regular inventory checks. To report shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
Store Upkeep: Keeping the Scout Shop clean, welcoming/presentable, and well-stocked.
General Support: Assisting with event logistics, supporting improvements of shop operations, and other duties assigned as needed.
Background: Nitec, Certificate, Diploma holders or prior experience in retail/customer service. Experience in inventory/stock management would be an advantage.
People Skills: Warm, patient, and articulate when interacting with youths, parents, and leaders.
Work Ethic: Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently or as part of a small team.
Basic Tech Skills: Comfortable using email and messaging apps (e.g., WhatsApp) to coordinate orders.
