Job Description - Senior / Junior Housekeeping Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of premises to ensure an immaculate environment aligned with company brand standards
  • Lead daily operations briefings for Housekeeping Attendants to align team on tasks and priorities
  • Plan and schedule room cleaning to optimize operational efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • Track and record Housekeeping team overtime and incentives to support accurate payroll and motivation
  • Monitor and document team attendance including medical leaves, annual leaves, and public holidays for workforce management
  • Manage and document housekeeping team performance data to assist in performance reviews and development
  • Conduct training sessions on safe use of cleaning chemicals, lifting techniques, and hazard prevention to ensure team safety and compliance
  • Manage Pest Control Reports and General Cleaning Rooms records; coordinate with Front Office for room blocks as needed
  • Track guest preferences and follow up on guest requests with Supervisors to enhance guest experience
  • Maintain inventory records for baby cots, extra beds, and loan items to ensure availability and accountability
  • Report discard, spoilage, and repair needs to management; liaise with vendors for timely follow-ups
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and effective communication
  • Prepare rooms according to special requests and company brand standards to meet guest expectations
  • Conduct thorough room cleanliness checks before releasing rooms for new arrivals to guarantee quality
  • Perform random inspections of guest rooms and public areas to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Inspect Housekeeping Attendants’ equipment and trolleys daily to ensure proper maintenance and readiness
  • Maintain par stock levels of guest supplies, cleaning materials, linen, and uniforms; conduct periodic inventory audits
  • Oversee housekeeping receiving, stock ordering, and monthly usage monitoring to control inventory costs
  • Investigate guest feedback and complaints; report findings and corrective actions to management
  • Analyze guest feedback trends and implement improvements to enhance service quality and team performance

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar housekeeping supervisory role
  • Strong attention to detail to achieve high standards of cleanliness and service excellence
  • High flexibility and adaptability to manage changing priorities and fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining quality and team morale
