Senior Ship Broker (Chemical)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Chemical Ship Broker to join our Singapore desk, focusing exclusively on chemical tanker chartering. The role involves developing and executing chemical shipping fixtures, managing client relationships, and driving commercial growth in the chemical parcel tanker segment.

This role requires strong market knowledge, an established network in the chemical tanker segment, and proven ability to generate profitable fixtures.

Key Responsibilities

• Fix and negotiate chemical tanker chartering deals.
• Develop and expand relationships with shipowners, charterers, traders, and industrial clients
• Source new cargo and vessel opportunities to grow the business desk
• Monitor freight markets, vessel positions, and global trade flows to identify opportunities
• Provide clients with market intelligence, freight assessments, and strategic advice
• Negotiate charter parties and ensure successful fixture conclusion
• Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth post-fixture execution
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to desk profitability

Requirements

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in shipbroking or chemical tanker chartering
• Strong established network within the chemical shipping market
• Proven track record of closing fixtures and generating revenue
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Good understanding of chemical tanker market dynamics and global trade flows
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
• Degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Economics, or related field preferred
