SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will lead technical initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and ensure that software products meet business requirements, performance standards, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into efficient software solutions.
• Develop high-quality, secure, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Review code, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and optimize application performance.
• Lead system architecture discussions and recommend appropriate technologies and frameworks.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, QA engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior software engineers.
• Perform system integration, debugging, and software maintenance.
• Implement security, data protection, and compliance requirements in software solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and user guides.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies to improve development efficiency and product quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience with modern web frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, .NET, Spring Boot, or Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience using Git or other version control systems.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and automated testing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) are an advantage.
• Experience leading software development teams and delivering enterprise-scale applications.
• Knowledge of AI, machine learning, data analytics, or cybersecurity is an added advantage.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
