SHEET METAL ENGINEER

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle body repair, fabrication and restoration works.
• Repair accident-damaged body panels and structural components.
• Cut, shape, bend and weld sheet metal parts according to engineering drawings.
• Operate fabrication machinery and welding equipment safely.
• Inspect completed work to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
• Diagnose fabrication issues and recommend effective repair solutions.
• Maintain workshop tools, machinery and housekeeping standards.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
• Collaborate with technicians, supervisors and quality inspectors to complete repair projects on schedule.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.
• Maintain proper use and care of tools and equipment

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in automotive sheet metal fabrication or vehicle body repair.
• Strong knowledge of MIG/TIG welding, cutting and fabrication techniques.
• Able to perform welding, cutting, and panel repair independently
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and repair manuals.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and public holidays when operationally required.
