Job Description - SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Management:Supervise and coordinate the activities of food shop staff, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
    Provide guidance, support, and feedback to employees to ensure high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction.
    Delegate tasks effectively and ensure staff compliance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Customer Service:Greet customers, assist them with inquiries, and provide product recommendations.
    Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner.
    Ensure that customer service standards are consistently met and maintained.
  3. Inventory Management:Monitor inventory levels and place orders for stock replenishment as needed.
    Receive deliveries, check for accuracy, and ensure proper storage of perishable and non-perishable goods.
    Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize shrinkage and waste.
  4. Food Safety and Sanitation:Enforce food safety and sanitation protocols in compliance with health regulations.
    Oversee cleanliness and organization of the food shop, including equipment maintenance and sanitation.
    Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to hygiene standards.
  5. Sales and Promotion:Implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase profitability.
    Coordinate promotions, displays, and special events to drive customer engagement and sales.
    Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  6. Administrative Tasks:Prepare daily sales reports, cash reconciliations, and other administrative duties as required.
    Maintain accurate records of transactions, inventory, and employee schedules.
    Assist with budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the retail or food service industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality or business management is a plus.
  • The role may require working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to food preparation areas and varying temperatures.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and night shifts as needed to meet business demands.
  • Physical requirements may include standing for extended periods.
