Job Description - Supplier & Customer Operations Senior Specialist

Job Objectives

Airbus Avionics is an Original Equipment Manufacturer within Airbus, responsible for avionics and radomes products for aircraft.

Airbus Avionics headquarters are located in Toulouse. With the objective to increase customers proximity, Airbus Avionics has set up facilities in Singapore and Miami offering regional Customer Support, warehousing and repair capabilities. Repair capabilities exist as well in Kuala Lumpur and China (Beijing, & Jinjiang). Over the past 10 years Airbus Avionics has provided spares and repairs support to all customers in the Asia-Pacific region from Singapore.

The jobholder is responsible for supervising the operations repair stations appointed by Airbus Avionics in APAC & China regions, managing and supporting repair activities performance provided to customers in a timely manner, and leading continuous improvement within the Customer Order Desk (COD).

Job Responsibilities

The jobholder is based in Singapore and will lead a multi-functional role to supervise Airbus Avionics supplier performance and ensure customers satisfaction by fulfilling the following:

Customer Management

  • Ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to ranking in Top 3 of supplier rating
  • For customers under his/her portfolio, manage daily customer sales and repair orders ensuring liaison with customers and repair stations in due time, and answer any customer queries timely to ensure operational support excellence
  • Process warranty claims and drive recovery action to close the outstanding payments
  • Coordinate and support the Singapore Customer Managers team for any transversal topics including priorities management, first-level escalations and business continuity.

Operations Supplier Management

  • Act as a focal point for Operations activities of repair stations performances in APAC and China
  • Support consolidation of repair stations performances in APAC and China and preparation of Business reviews
  • Drive recovery plan whenever the supplier is failing to achieve target objectives

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and Lead continuous improvement transversal projects Implement and maintain up to date process and procedures for COD, in coordination with Toulouse COD team
  • Act as a SAP expert in the team, secure operations continuity by transferring the know-how to the team and assist the newcomers skill-up

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Contribute to improvement projects and transversal team activities
  • Drive digital transformation: digitalization of Airbus Avionics Radome repair management process, increasing automatic and digital usage for analytics
  • Back up team members when they are on leave or unable to perform the tasks on top of the daily tasks and operations
  • Capitalize process into written procedure to secure the team knowledge

Job Responsibilities

  • Degree holder, with minimum 4 years experience in Sales Administration, operations, customer and supplier management
  • Independent, tenacious and solution driven
  • Communications skills, in multi-cultural environment
  • Customer oriented, customers’ expectations management
  • High proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access and SAP
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Ability to speak and write in French, will be a plus
