Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on coordinator to run the daily ground operations at our container yard. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily tracking of containers, coordinating the work schedules of our reach stacker operators, and handling daily customer service emails. You will play a key role in making sure truckers experience quick turnaround times and operations run safely.

Daily Responsibilities

• Ground Yard Operations & Tracking

  • Conduct daily physical and system counts (census) of the container yard.

  • Keep container inventory records updated daily in the ERP system and Google Sheets.

  • Perform container surveys and upload container photos (COC) when dedicated surveyors are unavailable.

  • Monitor ground activity to ensure safe work practices and smooth traffic flow for incoming truckers.

• Operator Coordination & Shift Scheduling

  • Arrange daily duty rosters, manpower planning, and overtime (OT) schedules for reach stacker operators to keep costs low.

  • Track and submit operator attendance and OT hours accurately.

  • Ensure all operators follow standard safety rules and operational SOPs during the shift.

  • Collect and scan the daily/monthly pre-operational checklists for reach stackers and forklifts.

  • Report any equipment breakdowns and coordinate with the maintenance vendor for servicing.

• Customer Service & Coordination (Liaison)

  • Handle daily email correspondences from internal departments and external customers/truckers promptly.

  • Assist to resolve day-to-day ground issues regarding container movements or inventory shortages.

  • Attend regular operational meetings with the warehouse and other teams to coordinate daily work plans.

  • Report any accidents, cargo discrepancies, or customer complaints immediately to the Supervisor/Manager.

  • Follow all company, Jurong Port, and authority safety regulations.

  • Provide manpower support or cross-deployment to the warehouse department when required.
