Driver cum Storeman

We are currently seeking a versatile and dependable individual for the position of Driver cum Storeman. This role involves the transportation of goods and materials to designated destinations as well as assisting with storekeeping tasks. The ideal candidate should possess a valid driver's license, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently both as a driver and in a storekeeping capacity.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials to specified locations.
- Load and unload items using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring their proper handling and secure placement.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and materials, adhering to assigned schedules and routes.
- Assist in inspecting and verifying the accuracy and condition of received goods and materials.
- Maintain meticulous records of items received, including quantities and specifications.
- Keep the store area clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, promptly reporting any discrepancies or shortages.
- Follow established safety protocols and guidelines during all tasks.
- Assist in minor maintenance and repairs of vehicles, as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness to handle manual tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills for recordkeeping purposes.
