Customer Experience Designer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Customer Experience Designer to lead the design of intuitive, effective and visually polished digital products. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs and translate complex workflows into clear product experiences and user interfaces.

This role requires strong product thinking, hands-on UX/UI design capabilities, and the ability to communicate confidently with both English- and Chinese-speaking clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage directly with clients to understand their business objectives, operational workflows, user needs and pain points.
• Translate client requirements into user journeys, information architecture, workflows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity interface designs.
• Own the end-to-end design process, from research and concept development through to implementation and iteration.
• Design intuitive and visually consistent experiences across web and mobile products.
• Conduct user research, usability testing and client feedback sessions to validate and improve design solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible and effectively implemented.
• Present design concepts and recommendations clearly to clients and internal stakeholders in both English and Chinese.
• Develop and maintain design systems, UI components and design guidelines.
• Balance user experience, client expectations, technical constraints and business priorities.
• Monitor industry trends and continuously improve the quality and consistency of the company’s products.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in customer experience, product design, UX/UI design or a similar role.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design experience, including user journeys, interaction design and high-quality visual interfaces.
• Proven experience designing complex digital products, enterprise systems, SaaS platforms or workflow-based solutions.
• Strong proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
• Solid understanding of user-centred design principles, usability and responsive design.
• Strong stakeholder-management and client-facing skills, with the ability to clarify requirements and explain design decisions.
• Professional fluency in both English and Chinese, including the ability to conduct client discussions and presentations in both languages.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, structured thinking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in fintech, wealth management, family offices, financial services or B2B technology.
• Experience designing dashboards, portfolio-management systems, client portals or other data-intensive products.
• Familiarity with front-end development principles and the technical implementation of product designs.
• Experience working with cross-functional or geographically distributed teams.
