Data Visualisation Specialist

The Data Visualisation Specialist role exists to transform complex data into clear, intuitive, and impactful visuals that enable stakeholders to quickly understand insights and make better decisions.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to communicate insights effectively

• Translate complex datasets into clear, engaging, and actionable visualisations for diverse stakeholders

• Collaborate with business users to understand reporting needs and ensure solutions address key questions

• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all visual outputs

• Apply principles of information design, UX, and storytelling to make data accessible and intuitive

• Partner with internal resources to acquire and prepare data for visualisation

• Establish and maintain best practices and standards for data visualisation and reporting

• Monitor dashboard performance, usability, and adoption, recommending improvements where needed

• Document visualisation processes, datasets, and definitions for transparency and governance

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Design, or a related field

• At least 3 years of experience in data visualisation, business intelligence, or analytics

• Passion for making data intuitive, impactful, and decision-ready

• Hands-on expertise with modern BI and visualisation tools (E.g. Tableau, Power BI)

• Experienced with delivering visualisations across different mediums (E.g. Portal, Email, Mobile, etc.)

• Detail-oriented with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and usability of visual outputs Proficiency with SQL and experience connecting tomultiple data sources especially BigQuery and Looker

• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, orD3.js) for advanced visualisations, is a plus

• Strong understanding of data storytelling, design principles, and user experience

• Excellent communication skills to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Collaborate with various stakeholders to meet business objectives

• Work closely with delivery partners where appropriate to bring new innovations to the company

• Liaise with vendors for tenders, solutions and implementation
