DESIGN MANAGER

Job Title : Design Manager

Salary Range: S$5000 – S$8500

Report to:  General Manager

Min Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with 7-10 years of relevant experiences in design of pressure vessels, structures, piping, heat exchangers and air cooler.

Job Skills Required:

ASME VIII-1 & VIII-2, B31.1, B31.3, B31.8 Tema, API660, API661, API 650, PV Elite, Thermal Calculation HTRI, Staad Pro. and Nozzle Pro.

Responsible for/authorised to:

a)              Manage the Design department with a team of design engineers and draftsman.

b)             Plan and assign Design Engineer to each specific project or assist the Marketing Department in pre-engineering design for tendering.

c)              Responsible for design activity planning and scheduling to ensure timely submission of design calculations and fabrication drawings.

d)             Review and approve all technical documents generated by Design & Drafting personnel and ensure the accuracy and quality of the work.

e)              Provide technical assistance in problem solving during design stage and project in-progress

f)              Ensure smooth co-ordination and co-operation among design engineers, drafting personnel and other departments.

g)             Update of design codes and standards to their latest editions.

h)             Update of Pressure Vessel and Heat Exchanger Standard Drawing Details.

i)               Organizing of training programs for design engineering in order to upgrade design and drafting capabilities.

j)               Upgrading and acquiring design and drafting software to improve productivity and efficiency.
