Design Officer (electrical)

Summary

Perform the general duties of the design functions and work towards surpassing the section and team’s targets set in the KPI. Ensure compliance to the company’s quality and environmental policy through excellent work output, reduction of waste and prevention of pollution.

Responsibilities:

1. Check and review technical aspect of project design

2. Design, make, amend, update and issue drawings for elevator parts and installation drawings

3. Make, amend, issue and upkeep design document (design information, delivery list, design standard, design change, etc.)

4. Carry out project design review to ensure customer specifications are met

5. Ensure that all safety aspects of design are reviewed and complied

6. Compliance to schedule and deadline for projects and works assigned

7. Computerization and documentation of design process

8. Maintenance of computer programs

9. Carry out design improvement activity

10. Detail analysis of faults, trouble, defects and establish corrective and preventive action

11. Actively monitor and follow-up of outstanding/pending issues’ completion

12. Attend to enquiries from other departments or overseas agents

13. Quotation for spare parts

14. Educate Assistant Officer on various aspect of design

15. Ad-hoc duties
