Fashion Designer

As a member of the Design Team, you will work closely with our Design Lead to develop creative and meaningful design ideas associated with high-quality Sportswear, Activewear, and Performance wear. This entails merging conventional and contemporary methodologies while possessing a firm understanding of design theory.

Your role will be providing comprehensive support to the team across diverse projects and assignments to take these concepts from sketches to both physical and digital sample, which will be presented through design pitches and analysis.

I) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Brainstorm and research to create seasonal apparel collections based on market trends, targeted brands, and customer personas.
• Stay up-to-date on current trends, colors, fabrics, trims, technology, and other sports-related products through various ways of research and product usage experience.
• Manage the design process from conceptualize to final styling, incorporating new concepts and ideas into the final collection including designing and product development.
• Be accountable for the creative approach, defining and developing it to ensure successful collection development.
• Prepare and monitor moodboards, designs, sketches, and technical packs for collection development.
• Create initial design via sketches, virtual 3D or develop mock-up to ensure alignment with expectations.
• Assist in the preparation of CWS, product information through detailed drawings with accurate measurements and fabrics
• Ensure feasibility and precision in execution from initial development through bulk
• Demonstrate initiative, conscientiousness, and complete follow-through on areas of responsibility by reviewing and developing fitting prototypes and samples; effectively communicate necessary changes to the team
• Maintain close working relationships with the team and in-house production team to ensure seamless execution of designs, deliver high-quality output and updates on the status of samples
• Attend style fittings and provide input and feedback
• Work on technical measurements, conduct sampling, testing to ensure fit and quality and checking of all final pieces to ensure they are presentation-ready
• Prepare presentations and assist in set up of Spectrum and Concept presentations
• Communicate and present design concepts in a concise and professional manner
• Proficient in collaborating with a team and adapting to changes in the work environment and responsibilities.
• Willingness to take on additional projects and tasks as assigned by superiors or managers.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based work structure and adapt to changes in the scope of responsibility

II) JOB SPECIFICATIONS / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree or Diploma in Fashion/Sportswear Design required
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
• Relevant work experience in a Fashion Design/Technical or Proficiency 3D platforms (Clo/ Browzwear) role is a plus.
• Possess a strong technical foundation and knowledge in apparel construction, patterns and textiles required.
• Ability to gather appropriate input and make clear, well-reasoned decisions.
• A professional team player, eager to learn with strong interpersonal skills
• Driven individual with the ability to be hands-on, have aesthetically keen eye for high end designs
• Well-verse in discussing and presenting design work across to the team; open to giving and receiving feedback.
• Highly disciplined with excellent work ethics and positive attitude, organized and meticulous
• A reliable problem solver with empathy for client’s requests, able to come up with solutions, takes initiatives, follow-through in tasks and a strong sense of urgency

• Must be able to travel internationally and domestically utilizing various transportation methods.
