Role Overview
Are you a creative visionary with a passion for interior styling and space planning? Scanteak is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Group Visual Merchandiser to elevate our in-store experience.
In this role, you will be the creative guardian of our brand identity across 8 major retail outlets and showrooms in Singapore. You will translate our Scandinavian design ethos into stunning, functional, and commercial in-store displays that tell a story, captivate customers, and maximize sales.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Store VM Strategy: Conceptualize, plan, and execute cohesive visual merchandising guidelines and floor plans across all 8 Singapore showrooms.
Showroom Styling & Curation: Arrange and style furniture vignettes, lighting, and decorative accessories to create the signature Scanteak "warm and restful" home atmosphere.
Campaign Execution: Lead the physical rollout of new product launches, seasonal promotions, and festive thematic displays across all outlets.
Space Optimization: Analyze showroom traffic patterns and sales performance data to optimize layout configurations and product placement for maximum commercial impact.
Inventory & Prop Management: Source, manage, and distribute display props, soft furnishings, and signage while working within allocated budgets.
Store Maintenance: Conduct regular site visits to all 8 showrooms to audit display standards, ensuring high-level housekeeping, pristine furniture presentation, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, Product Development, and Retail Store Managers to ensure visual displays align with ongoing promotional activities and inventory levels.
Training & Mentorship: Guide and educate showroom sales teams on basic daily VM maintenance to ensure standard presentation consistency between your scheduled visits.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, preferably within the furniture, home decor, interior design, or boutique retail industries.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating a keen eye for interior styling, color coordination, spatial awareness, and lifestyle curation.
Mobility: As this role oversees 8 showrooms, you must be comfortable traveling frequently between different retail locations across Singapore.
Skills: * Proficiency in spatial planning tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) is a strong advantage.
Strong commercial acumen; understanding how visual presentation directly influences customer buying behavior.
Attributes: * An independent self-starter with excellent time-management skills to juggle multiple site schedules.
Great communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate smoothly with store teams and management.
Physical stamina to assist with hands-on styling, including moving props, adjusting lighting, and arranging soft furnishings.
