Mechanical Design Engineer (Automation, north, up to $6K)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Automation Mechanical Design Engineer to design high-precision, custom automation systems for the semiconductor and electronics industries. If you enjoy taking complex machines from initial concept to a fully functional build on the factory floor, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

• Design & Concept: Generate innovative concepts and design high-precision, high-tech automation equipment using SolidWorks 3D and EPDM.

• Component Selection: Select advanced robotics, servo axes, motors, pneumatics, and sensors.

• Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with Project Managers and customers to define requirements, and guide assembly technicians during the build and testing phases.

• Execution: Prepare BOMs using SAP and coordinate directly with fabrication vendors and component suppliers.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 6+ years of dedicated experience in automation equipment design.

• Technical Skills: Strong component selection expertise and familiarity with reliability engineering, ISO, and IEC machine safety standards.

• Tools: Proficiency in SolidWorks and SAP (BOM management).

• Communication: Excellent problem-solving skills and fluent English (written and spoken) to collaborate effectively across teams.
