Project Engineer

Job Summary -We are seeking a highly technical and detail-oriented industrial Project Engineer to manage the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of industrial refrigeration systems and gas compressor packages.
The successful candidate will act as the technical lead, bridging engineering design with practical site execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
-Site/Field work will be required for this role.

Division: -Standard Industrial Refrigeration for Food Manufacturing and Distribution, includes energy applications.

-Process Refrigeration and Gas Compression for Oil, Gas, Chemical Applications.

Market: -Primarily Singapore. Occasional regional countries.

Preferred Qualifications - Skills & Attributes: -Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Candidates without academic qualifications but with relevant experience or strong work attributes will be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project engineering in industrial rotating equipment, especially within industrial refrigeration, HVAC, or gas compressor systems.
- Basic experience in 3D modelling and 2D drafting software (AutoCAD, CAD-Worx Plant 3D, CAD-Worx P&ID).
- Experience in industrial mechanical systems for Refrigeration or gas compression. Basic knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer principles.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of ASHRAE, ASME, API Codes.
- Knowledge of MOM, NEA Regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with automation systems, PLC control panels, and electrical components.
- Strong communication skills. Able to self-manage independently and work as a team.
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach to overcoming logistical or technical challenges.

Work Profile: -Project Coordination & Execution: Handle end-to-end execution of industrial projects, including scope definition, schedule development, cost control, documentation, and procurement of materials and equipment (compressors, vessels, heat exchangers). -System Design & Engineering: Develop heat load calculations, PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), and 3D piping layouts for refrigeration and gas compressor systems. -Technical Support & Coordination: Provide technical input to stakeholders such as draftspersons, fabrication teams, and external subcontractors, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

-Commissioning & Site Support: Oversees onsite installation, testing, and troubleshooting of refrigeration units and compressors to ensure efficient, safe operation during project execution. -Safety & Compliance: Ensuring all designs and installations strictly adhere to applicable regulatory standards (Local: MOM/NEA/SS/CP). -Customer Liaison: Act as primary technical contact for clients, presenting project updates, and resolving technical issues or changes in scope.
