Senior Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities

·               Lead the design, review and optimizepiping layouts and detailed design to              meetengineering and functionality requirement

·               Prepare and review piping materialspecifications for compliance with           ASME/Otherrelevant code requirements

·               Coordinate / validate pipe stressanalysis (Static and Dynamic Analysis)

·               Provide recommendations for modificationor validation of piping layouts

·               Review / generate piping, support andisometrics drawings

·               Review / generate steel structuredrawings

·               Generate piping/structural material takeoff list

·               Review / generate and optimize facilitylayout and structural design

·               Lead / coordinate / validate designcalculations according to project    requirements

·               Liaise with client, project managers indesign works

·               Provide value engineering proposalsduring tender and ongoing projects

·               Lead / coordinate and assist the projectteam regarding on site works

·               Ensure & oversees site works areaccording to the design drawings

·               Check through drawings and ensuredrawings are according to the design            calculation

·               Prepare As-built drawings/calculation forsubmissions

Requirements

·               Degree in Engineering in relevant MEP(mechanical, electrical and piping/plumping) related discipline.

·               Several years of job experience in design& engineering of process plants is preferred.

·               Good sketching skills and ability tocommunicate thoughts and technical             ideasconcisely

·               Good communication skills essential forteam-based working.

·               Highly motivated, proactive and willingto take on new challenges

·               Good time management habits and abilityto multi-task

·               Analytical problem solving

·               Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD (Plant3d, Revit, Advanced Steel would be advantage)

·               Coordination and alignment withstructural drawings

·               Understand and clarify clientrequirements

·               Able to work independently and providestechnical guidance to the design engineers.
